The Baby Room

The Baby Room is an outreach ministry of st-marks-abilene, operating out of Grace Lutheran Church (1202 S. Pioneer Dr., Abilene). Founded and managed by Deacon Peggy Valentine for over 15 years, it provides necessities to vulnerable local families with young children.

Operations & Services

• Hours: Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (closed on any 5th Wednesday).
• Eligibility: No-charge service for children aged newborn to 4. Referrals are made via 2-1-1, hospitals, schools, other churches, and agencies.

Support & Donations

• Financial Supporters: Funded by private donations, the Dian Graves Owen Foundation, and funds at the Community Foundation of Abilene.
• Material Donations: Diapers, wipes, formula, newborn/infant clothing (new/gently used), strollers, and car seats are accepted during open hours.
